My True Thoughts

SOME WOUNDS, SOME SCARS

SOME WOUNDS, SOME SCARS

 by

HELEN CONSTANTINE

Some wounds, some scars, never ever heal

Some times, some hearts, simply can’t conceal

The hurt, the pain that haunts the memory

Some wounds, some scars, just refuse to heal

How now, I wish I could be, back to when I flew free

How simple life was then, why did it have to end

When did time take the years

Leaving sad souvenirs

To haunt the memory

The tears, the fears, of long lost yesteryear's

I pray, will fade, with long lost reveries

                                             Some wounds, some scars

                                          Never ever heal

Some times, some hearts

Simply must reveal

The hurt, the pain that hunts the memory

Some wounds, some scars, just refuse to heal
