My True Thoughts

NO HURT, NO PAIN

 NO HURT, NO PAIN

BY

No hurt, no pain, nor will of fate

Can bring my heart, to ever hate

No darken moon nor starless night

Can cast its gloom, upon my inner light

No thoughtless word, nor heartless deed

Can make me sow, an unworthy seed

My will to give, and not to take

Can sometimes yield, but never break

I look to those, who’ve been blessed at birth

With pride, honesty and depth of worth

I judge no one, or the rules they break

Nor wilful choices, they choose to take

But learn from the blunders

 I too, so often make

Strength like failings, is ours to endure

Boundaries and bigots we cannot ignore

The courage to fail, flourish or falter

Is a precious gift, none should ever alter;

Nor, seek rewards for the good you’ve done

Only for the justice, we’ve justly won

 Blessed be the peacemakers

For they’ll inherit the land

The land they walk upon

SHE WAITS AND WAITS

WRITTEN

BY

HELEN CONSTANTINE

She waits and waits

By an old broken wooden gate

From dawns first breaking light

Till dusk descends into night

With eyes firmly set, beyond her gaze

On some sombre troubled maze

She slowly emits, soft lingering sighs

That freezes the tears

Deep within her drowsy dewy eyes

She utters no word

Nor flinch to a sound

But stays, firmly fixed to the ground

Without smile or frown

On what or whom does she wait?

To release and relieve her troubled

Heart and fate

Is she a figment of my imagination?

Or something of my creative creation

Has she a today or a tomorrow

Is she in pain, joy or sorrow

Who can she be?

Can she hear or see

Is she but a dream?

 Betwixt and between

The sky, land and sea

Still she painfully patiently waits

By the old broken wooden gate

In hopeful expectation

And tireless contemplation

anticipating redemption

Or some obscure, restoration
