My True Thoughts

FOR THE LOVE OF LIFE BY HELEN CONSTANTINE

FOR THE LOVE OF LIFE

BY

HELEN CONSTANTINE

For the love of life, the seeds we sow

Must often fight, to strive and grow

For the love of life, we fear the thought

Of letting go

For the love of life, rivers flow

From hidden depths, and tumbling snow

For the love of life, nature hear, its every call

Turning winter into spring

Summer and fall

For the love of life, songbirds sing

And willows wail, in the wafting wind

For the love of life, the ebbing tide

Flows out, then surges in

For the love of life, we've night and day

The sun, moon and stars

To light and guide our way

For the love of life, the rain that fall

Nurture and feeds, each and all

For the love of life, the tiny bee

Plunders the nectar from flower and tree

For the love of life, we followed the stream

That meander’s through, rolling hills, glades and vales

Where we’d sit, in the early dawn

Watching sunbeams dance, on densely dewy banks

As we dreamt, our sweetest dreams

 For the love of life
